There were seasons when I felt completely overwhelmed by despair — like I was standing still while life kept moving without me. After leaving my job earlier than expected, I stumbled through one failed business attempt after another. The dream I had for a successful second act felt like it was slipping away — fast.

Years later, with my children grown and living their own lives, a new kind of silence set in. The emotional weight of empty nest syndrome settled on my shoulders. I had time — too much of it — but not enough financial freedom to explore the passions I’d put on hold.

The stillness left space for reflection… and regret.
