About Me
Hi, I’m Gemma 👋
I’m Gemma, mum to Paddy – a wheelchair user with profound learning disabilities who loves getting out and about.
Paddy’s Places was inspired by a big change in Paddy’s life. As he reached adulthood and left education, I suddenly found myself thinking about how his new care team could help him make the most of his days – getting out, exploring our local area and having a reason to interact with the places and people around him.
That’s where the idea for Paddy’s Places began.
I started creating accessible adventures that give a little more purpose to a day out – things to find, photograph and discover, simple challenges to complete and reasons to stop and take notice of what’s around you.
They’re designed with people like Paddy in mind, but they’re certainly not just for people with disabilities. Paddy’s Places can be enjoyed by families, friends, carers, support workers and anyone who fancies turning a local wander into an adventure.
There’s no rush and no right or wrong way to do it. Just download your pack, head out and explore at your own pace.
Happy exploring!
