MEET CARMEN MERRIWEATHER

Carmen Merriweather is a faith-led entrepreneur, home-care professional, author, and the founder of Patient Hands Enterprise. With more than a decade of experience in the home-care industry, she understands both the heart of caregiving and the responsibility of building a sustainable business behind it.

Her entrepreneurial journey has been shaped by service, perseverance, family, and an ever-deepening relationship with God. When an unexpected increase in the cost of her existing EMR system caused her to take a closer look at her business expenses, Carmen began asking important questions: Was the system truly meeting her company’s needs? Was she using everything she was paying for? And was there a wiser way to manage the resources God had entrusted to her?

Those questions led to a journey of evaluating her operations, reducing unnecessary overhead, and developing a private business system designed around the real needs of Patient Hands.

From Overhead to Ownership was created from that experience. Carmen’s purpose is not to tell business owners that there is only one right solution, but to encourage them to become more informed, intentional, and confident in the decisions they make for their organizations.

Through her work, Carmen hopes to remind other entrepreneurs that business ownership is not only about growth—it is also about stewardship, courage, creativity, and trusting God throughout the process.
