About Me
I am now retired from a long career as a geologist. So I can spend more time on my hobby which is cooking, which I enjoy so much. It is a bit of a passion for me. I like to experiment, select local ingredients and see what comes out.
My books began as a way of keeping track of my successes (and failures).
I began in the late 1950s, when I was 6 years old, taught by my mother, while standing on a wooden cauliflower box at the kitchen surface to peel vegetables. I cooked a full Sunday 2 course roast dinner at the age of 7. I have continued cooking ever since.
Leg of lamb, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, buttered carrots and green beans. Apple pie and custard.
I remember inviting my girlfriend (I was 10 :-) to dinner and made a salmon souffle followed by chicken and lamb kebabs.
I hope you like the books I present. My intention is to encourage experimentation as well as preparing easy meals for those who can't spend too much time in the kitchen.
