Pawz Terms of Service

By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using any Pawz product, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase or use Pawz products. No exceptions.

2. Personal License

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the purchased Pawz product.

You may:

• Edit the avatar for personal use.
• Upload it privately to VRChat.
• Use it in videos, streams, screenshots, and social media with proper credit to Pawz.

You may NOT:

• Share the files.
• Gift the files.
• Trade the files.
• Sell or redistribute the files.
• Give anyone else access to the files.

Purchasing a Pawz product does not transfer ownership of the underlying files, assets, designs, or intellectual property to the purchaser.

3. File & Project Sharing

Do not give Pawz files, Unity projects, source files, or individual assets to any other person.

The only exception is Pawz-authorized uploaders or other individuals specifically authorized by Pawz.

You are responsible for keeping your purchased files secure and preventing unauthorized access to them.

4. Editing & Asset Use

Personal edits and modifications are allowed for your own use, but all edited versions remain subject to this TOS.

You may NOT:

• Use Pawz avatars as bases or templates for other creations.
• Copy, trace, recreate, or substantially reproduce Pawz designs.
• Extract or reuse Pawz assets in another project.
• Use Pawz assets to create or assist in creating another avatar or product.
• Distribute edited versions of Pawz products.

Editing a Pawz product does not remove or alter the restrictions contained within this TOS.

5. User Modifications & Edited Versions

Pawz is not responsible for issues, errors, damage, or loss of functionality caused by edits, modifications, optimizations, conversions, or other changes made by the purchaser or any third party.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Broken or missing toggles, animations, or menus.
• PhysBone, Dynamic Bone, or other physics issues.
• Shader, material, texture, or lighting issues.
• Clipping, weighting, rigging, or mesh issues caused by modifications.
• Issues caused by removing, replacing, or modifying assets.
• Errors caused by third-party tools, plugins, scripts, or services.
• Issues caused by unauthorized changes to the Unity project or avatar.
• Performance, upload, or compatibility issues resulting from user modifications.

Pawz may provide troubleshooting assistance when possible, but is not obligated to repair or support problems caused by user-made or unauthorized modifications.

If an issue cannot be reproduced using the original, unmodified Pawz files, Pawz may consider the issue to be caused by user modification and may decline support for that issue.

Purchasers are responsible for keeping an unmodified backup of their purchased files.

6. Leaking, Ripping & Reselling

Leaking, ripping, trading, reselling, redistributing, or uploading Pawz products is strictly prohibited.

This includes, but is not limited to, avatar-sharing websites, avatar-ripping websites, file-sharing platforms, Discord servers, or any other method of unauthorized distribution.

Violations may result in a permanent blacklist, loss of product access, and DMCA/copyright action where applicable.

7. Public Avatars & Cloning

Pawz avatars are for private use only.

You may not:

• Upload Pawz avatars as public avatars.
• Use Pawz avatars as public fallback avatars.
• Place Pawz avatars in cloneable worlds.
• Enable cloning or otherwise provide unauthorized access to Pawz avatars.
• Allow another person to access or use your purchased avatar files or upload.

8. Creator Credit

Credit Pawz when publicly showcasing Pawz avatars in videos, streams, social media, screenshots, or other public content.

Credit should be reasonably visible and clearly associated with the avatar.

9. Commercial Use

Commercial use requires written permission from Pawz.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Merchandise.
• Advertisements.
• Sponsored promotions.
• Paid products or services.
• Using Pawz products to promote another product, service, business, or brand.
• Using Pawz products as part of paid or commercial content beyond ordinary personal content.

Personal videos, streams, screenshots, and social media use are allowed with credit, provided the Pawz product itself is not being commercially exploited without permission.

10. AI Restrictions

Pawz products may not be used for AI training, datasets, AI recreations, or AI development.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• AI-generated artwork based on Pawz products.
• AI-generated chibis or character recreations.
• AI-generated avatars or models based on Pawz designs.
• AI-generated or AI-edited photographs using Pawz products.
• Using Pawz files, renders, textures, designs, or other materials in AI datasets.
• Submitting Pawz products or assets to AI services for training, analysis, recreation, or generation.

11. Uploads & Quest Conversions

Pawz offers avatar uploads for $5 and Quest conversions for $20.

• Quest versions may have reduced features or visual differences due to Quest and VRChat limitations.
• Converted and uploaded files remain covered by this TOS and may not be shared.
• Upload and conversion services do not grant ownership of the files or any additional distribution rights.
• Pawz cannot guarantee identical functionality or appearance across PC and Quest versions due to platform limitations.

12. Support

Support is available through the Pawz Discord for 30 days after purchase.

Compatibility with every Unity version, VRChat update, third-party tool, shader, plugin, or modified project is not guaranteed.

Support may be limited or unavailable for heavily modified, unauthorized, outdated, or otherwise altered versions of Pawz products.

Pawz may require the purchaser to provide information, screenshots, project details, or an unmodified version of the product when troubleshooting an issue.

13. Prohibited Behavior

Pawz products may not be used for:

• Harassment.
• Hate speech.
• Doxxing.
• Impersonation.
• Threats.
• Malicious behavior.
• Unlawful behavior.

Pawz products may not be used in a manner that violates applicable laws, VRChat's rules, or the rights of others.

14. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Contact Pawz before opening a payment dispute.

If you experience an issue with your purchase, please contact Pawz first so the issue can be reviewed and an attempt can be made to resolve it.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in loss of product access and permanent blacklisting.

Nothing in this section is intended to restrict legitimate consumer rights or lawful payment disputes.

15. Refunds

All digital sales are final and non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued for:

• User error.
• Hardware limitations.
• Unity updates.
• VRChat updates.
• Third-party conflicts.
• Third-party tools or plugins.
• Unauthorized modifications.
• User-made edits.
• Performance issues caused by user modifications.
• Compatibility issues caused by unsupported or modified setups.

If you believe a product is defective or contains an issue with the original, unmodified files, contact Pawz support so the issue can be reviewed.

16. Discord Bans & Blacklisting

Pawz may revoke access and prohibit future purchases if you are banned or blacklisted from the Pawz Discord or store.

Attempting to bypass a ban, blacklist, purchase restriction, or other enforcement action may result in a permanent blacklist.

Blacklisting may apply to future purchases, access to Pawz products, Discord participation, and other Pawz services.

17. TOS Violations & Enforcement

Violations of this TOS may result in one or more of the following:

• Loss of product access.
• Permanent blacklist.
• Discord or store bans.
• Revocation of access to Pawz services.
• DMCA/copyright action where applicable.
• Reporting of unlawful activity where appropriate.
• Other appropriate enforcement.

Pawz reserves the right to determine appropriate enforcement based on the circumstances of each violation.

18. TOS Updates

Pawz may update these Terms of Service as needed.

Updated terms may be posted through the Pawz store, Discord, or another official Pawz platform.

Continued use of Pawz products after an updated TOS is posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Final Notice

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask before doing it.

Written permission from Pawz is required for exceptions to this TOS.
