My name is Shayna, 22 years old. Grown up in church all my life yet started taking my journey more seriously during lockdown (16 going on 17) - I had no sense of peace horrendous overthinking on top of a transitional period from secondary school to college which i hated and struggled with changed. I would seek peace and comfort from external things and people which eventually stopped working and I was backed against a wall where I either run to Jesus and take my faith seriously or I continued in this horrible state and cycle. And over time step by step, `little by little my relationship with God grew Ive been baptised and truly know God for myself over a span of 5 years I can confidently say he’s truly saved me and transformed my life not externally but internally!

How did this idea come about?

Over these past couple years I believe God has taken me on a journey and through a process of becoming, before he has truly officially given me anything typical external blessings. He has refined my character, given me Joy and peace and taken me through trials and seasons that have allowed me to reach a point where I have to soley rely and call on him for help. Through the waiting, the dark times and the valleys i have truly seen his character towards me and know God for certain ways for myself now not just because I read a story or scripture that says he is like that. In these recent seasons of my life I have been able to share parts of my testimony to encourage other believers from where i came from to where I am now and believe it is my season to pay forward all the lessons I’ve learned top help other people deepen and strengthen their personal relationship with God, people and hopefully themselves!
