Play Professional Development LLC exists as a way to empower, education, and inspire parents as we make the most of the early years, building strong bodies and brains with intentional swaps and low prep play.

During the first 3 years of life, the brain has up to twice as many synapses as in adulthood and grows to 80% of its adult size. This makes the first 3 years an amazing, unique window of opportunity to support physical, sensory, language, and social development in our little ones. As an in-home, early intervention physical therapist, I’ve seen the huge impact of little, intentional tweaks and changes over and over again.

Having my own daughter gave me a whole new perspective on the need for practical parent resources to support early development- things that feel truly do-able for families, yet are hugely beneficial. Motherhood finally gave me the push I needed to start creating resources.

As my own daughter moved through milestones, the therapist in me was always naturally sprinkling in bursts of purposeful play and mindfulness of supporting development in the everyday tasks. Unlike many areas in the new terrain of motherhood, this was familiar. I did not fret over milestones, have difficulty filling a day with her, or question what kind of baby gear I should use. When it came to supporting development, I felt like a play pro.
