Welcome to Pliers & Blowtorch Productions! My site's name is taken from the classic Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction, in which one of the characters, crime lord Marsellus Wallace (unforgettably played by Ving Rhames) promises to "get Medieval" on a certain "hillbilly boy" called "Zed" with "a pair of pliers and a blowtorch." Awesome film, awesome dialogue, from an unforgettable scene! One of my all-time favorites, and it's stuck with me. I write action-adventure fiction in the hard-boiled tradition, but with modern weaponry, super-cool characters, intricate plots, and a good dose of graphic violence and sex to keep things high-octane and interesting. My flagship creation is NIGHTSHADE, an action-adventure series (currently on Substack at nightshademd.substack.com) about the adventures of Victoria Hawthorne, MD, a brand new graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School (with an eclectic background) who foils a massive terrorist attack in Florence while on vacation, and is recruited into a covert black ops organization. Operating under the codename "Nightshade," she quickly becomes one of the deadliest assassins in the world!

On this site, I sell AI-generated images of Victoria/Nightshade from Episodes in my Substack series, and conceptual scenes, other characters, and general scenarios. As the fan base of this franchise expands, I hope to offer merchandise as well, and offer E-Book versions of Nightshade short story compilations and other fiction and work I write.
