Foundation exercises

  • Builds the core principles of indirect power and muscle memory, emphasizing body alignment, structure, and ground connection through basic exercises for internal strength and stability.


First Routine (Yilu) form

  • The foundational silk-reeling form (81 moves in 6 sections), cultivating fluid, coordinated movements - fostering balance, health, and subtle self-defense through methodical practice.


Push hand applications

  • Partner drills to understand how to apply Yilu moves in real-time, develop body connection and sensitivity, to further refine the techniques.


Monthly Push Hands Session

Push hands sparring with cushioned mats

  • Controlled sparring to simulate real-match dynamics, building on push hands applications through free-flow exchanges, heightened sensitivity, and adaptive responses — safely honing Yilu principles in motion while minimizing injury risk.
