About Me
Rebecca L. Sutter is a technology executive and psychotherapist with over four decades of experience inside engineering organizations. She began her career writing Fortran and Assembly at the Naval Research Laboratory in the 1980s, co-founded a software and hardware company, and has since led technology at organizations ranging from the NLC to HHMI. She spent 24 years as CIO/CTO at HCI, and recently was the CTO at ASE. She is also the founder of Praxnote, an AI-first clinical workspace for behavioral health practitioners.
In 2025 she completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and now practices as a licensed therapist alongside her engineering work. She also works with technology leaders as an IT leadership coach.
