Meet Katie Meeson
Katie Meeson is a Licensed Funeral Director and Grief Certified Counselor who has spent her career walking alongside families in their hardest moments — helping them honor lives well lived and navigate the first tender steps after goodbye.
Her writing explores the quiet places where grief, faith, and grace intersect. These are not stories told from a distance. They are drawn from real moments, real families, and real faith — offered not as answers, but as companionship for the road.
When her best friend David — Bubba — was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Katie became his primary caregiver and discovered that grief lived from the inside is a completely different journey than grief supported from the outside. Out of that season came her writing.
She believes that even when the ground gives way beneath us, God's hand never does.

You don't have to walk this road alone.
Grief is not something to fix or rush through. It is something to walk through — slowly, honestly, and ideally with someone beside you.
I'm Katie Meeson. I spent years as a funeral director walking alongside families in their hardest moments. And then loss found me in a deeply personal way, and I had to learn to walk that road myself.
Quiet Haven was born out of that journey. It is a place for stories — real ones, drawn from real moments of grief and grace. A place where you are allowed to come exactly as you are, stay as long as you need, and find something that speaks to where you are on the road.
Whether you are in the middle of loss right now, or walking beside someone who is — you are welcome here.
