About Billie
Billie grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina, where she attended school during the early years of desegregation — an experience that shaped her lifelong commitment and deep belief in the power of education, access, and student growth. Teaching has been at the center of her life for more than 45 years (including 12+ years abroad in Europe), guiding generations of learners in both traditional classrooms and virtual settings.
Now retired, she continues to stay closely connected to the field she loves by creating and sharing educational resources for teachers. These tools are designed to give educators clear direction, practical support, and ready-to-use strategies that make everyday teaching more intentional, sustainable, and effective.
