The way that Raluca could cut through my waffle and deflections and get right to the heart of what was going on which in most cases was my reluctance to believe in myself when all the evidence was contrary to what my thought patterns were. Raluca is an experienced coach who comes to the sessions well prepared. I always found Raluca to be fully present in our sessions. When I had self doubt Raluca would challenge me in the right way and that I was comfortable with. I feel that having Raluca as my coach supervisor was a positive experience and pushed me to complete my level 5. Outside of the coaching relationship Raluca was supportive and friendly and we maintained and trusted relationship. I have developed as a person and become more self aware.

I found the overall experience to be positive. Raluca has been a tremendous help and consistently provided a safe, reflective environment for me to explore and grow. [Coaching] helped me to value the importance of being in that 'uncomfortable state' which is optimum for learning. The impact is immeasurable. It has changed the way I think, how I respond and how I perceive situations. I am more in-tune with other people and what they are/aren't telling me. Really reassuring and encouraging. Uplifting. I felt overwhelmed but you made me feel like I could get through my apprenticeship. You even suggested I might aim to get a Distinction which was so far off my radar for most of the time, but you sowed that seed, and right at the end I felt I could do it, and I did it, and I feel really pleased with myself. You listened to me when I was panicking, you were calm and kind, you reassured me that everything was ok. I often struggled with the amount of information but you were patient and were always available to offer help. One thing I look back on with a smile was your response to watching a coaching session: "You're a transformational coach!" This gave me a real boost and confidence that I was actually a coach and coaching in a way that meant something to me and was real. Then you asked me when I was setting up my coaching business. Your faith in me gave me confidence that I could do this. You were also there for my fellow apprentices which reinforced my network and supported them too. Your group sessions were really good - built connections and confidence across the group as well as giving us information. Your patience, unflappability, insight, personal ethics (I felt I could talk to you when I didn't feel comfortable about some things in the coaching world). On occasions I've seen 'hierarchical' ego-driven personalities or behaviour acting out in the coaching family but you were never like that. You reinforced for me the power of coaching as an inclusive, empowering, respectful space, and set the standard for my own ethics and behaviour.
