Program Introduction

Welcome to Don't Call it a Comeback. A former athlete's guide to become the athlete you've always been!

About Me

Fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. It has shaped who I am, how I live, and what I believe about taking care of the body, mind, and spirit.

Over the years, I have been blessed with opportunities to learn from some of the very best in the world.

While attending the University of Houston, I had the privilege of training under legendary Olympic sprint coach Tom Tellez. I also had the opportunity to run with and learn from track and field legend Carl Lewis and other members of the Santa Monica Track Club. I briefly competed for Texas A&M University before returning to the University of Houston, where I earned my degree in Fitness and Human Performance under the guidance of Dr. Eugene Coleman, who also served as a strength and conditioning coach for the Houston Astros.

Those experiences gave me an education that went far beyond a classroom. I learned from great coaches, great athletes, and years of putting that knowledge into practice.

In 1999, I wrote a mission statement for a fitness business I hoped to one day create. Four years later, that dream became a reality when Trinity Fitness opened its doors in 2003. It is still going strong today.

For more than 35 years, I have trained, studied, coached, tested, learned, and continued to grow in the field of fitness.

I have always believed that training should be athletic, functional, purposeful, and—most importantly—something that helps you become better at living your life.

I also believe that fitness is about more than what happens in the gym. Taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually is an important part of living a healthy and meaningful life. I will continue to seek God's guidance as I pursue that mission and encourage others to do the same. (1 Timothy 4:8)

I practice what I preach, and I intend to keep doing what I've always done: train, learn, stay healthy, and help others do the same.

Outside of fitness, I am blessed to have been married to my high school sweetheart for nearly 30 years, and I am the proud father of three wonderful grown children.

I'm glad you're here, and I hope I can help you discover—or rediscover—just how incredible you really are and what you're capable of when you commit to becoming the very best version of yourself.
