About Me

Paul Sasser writes grounded, historically rich fiction that explores the intersection of human endurance and the precise mechanics of the natural world. Stripped of excess, his prose focuses on the tactile realities of survival and the legacies passed down through generations.

His debut novel, The Oagenn: Turning the Tide, reflects a deep respect for 19th-century maritime history and the unyielding forces of nature. When he is not writing, he is engaged in the daily stewardship of Ransom Bluff Farm in Conway, South Carolina. Whether managing honeybee hives, reading the tides while fly fishing for redfish, or preparing to welcome a new generation into his family, his life and work are rooted in patience, observation, and the preservation of what matters most.
