Gary “GavrIEL” Johnson is a Licensed Neuromuscular Massage Therapist, Certified Nutrition Coach, Somatic Intelligence Practitioner, and Founder of The RARE Work Method™.

Raised in Natchez, Mississippi in poverty and early street exposure, his path moved through institutional and clinical environments that shaped his understanding of human behavior under stress. By four his father passed away By fourteen he had already encountered the justice system. At twenty, he experienced the loss of his mother, and later pursued Neuromuscular Massage Therapy training while navigating unstable living conditions and shelter life.

His professional background spans 7 years of clinical neuromuscular therapy, alongside 23 years of combined field, street, and institutional study of human behavior. This includes 3 years in hospital behavioral health security managing psychiatric crises, and 6 months in corrections observing nervous system responses under extreme chronic stress. And more...

He integrates osteopathic-informed bodywork, somatic psychology, nutrition science, frequency-based modalities, and meridian systems into a unified somatic intelligence framework.

In October 2025, he sustained a tibial plateau fracture after being struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk, underwent surgery, and returned to function ahead of projected recovery timelines, applying his own methodology in real time.

He is currently building and documenting The RARE Work Method™ as an evolving system of applied human performance and somatic intelligence.
