Hi, I’m Bailey—the founder of ReadWithBookBound, a former elementary teacher and reading curriculum specialist, and now a stay-at-home mom to two energetic, wonderfully sensitive boys. They’re happiest close to me, where they feel safe and loved. Neither attends daycare, so our days are full, joyful, loud, and—if I’m being honest—much harder than I once imagined!

Before staying home with my boys, I spent seven years teaching Kindergarten through third grade and five years working as a curriculum specialist for Really Great Reading. I’ve always been what my husband calls an “energetic reader”—the kind who gives every character a voice and is far more likely to excite everyone at bedtime than lull them to sleep. Through both teaching and curriculum development, I saw firsthand how deeply reading can influence a child’s learning, confidence, and connection with the people they love.

Later, while spending my days at parks and talking with other moms, I kept hearing the same parenting questions and exhaustion that I felt in my own life. I wanted to create something that would help families connect and read together while also offering practical support for the childhood stages that can leave us feeling unsure and overwhelmed. That desire became ReadWithBookBound—a place where stories help families connect, learn, and navigate childhood together.
