About Me
Hi, I’m Chandal. Founder of Redefining Recovery.
If you are here because you love someone battling addiction, I want you to take a deep breath. I know how heavy that weight is, how exhausting the cycle of enabling can be, and how easy it is to lose yourself while trying to save someone else.
But I also know there is a way out—because I’ve lived it.
I have 19 years clean with zero relapses.
I am living proof that long-term recovery is possible, that change is real, and that the principles I teach actually work. Walking this path for nearly two decades has given me a unique perspective on what it truly takes to break the cycle of addiction, not just for the individual, but for the entire family.
Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand that families are often the missing piece of the puzzle. You want desperately to help, but without the right tools, "helping" can accidentally turn into enabling, leaving you burnt out, overwhelmed, and walking on eggshells in your own home.
I created this space and my resources, like "You Can Breathe Now: The Family Boundary Toolkit," to give you the practical, real-world strategies I know are vital. I don’t deal in vague theories; I provide the exact scripts, concrete contracts, and honest assessments you need to set firm boundaries, protect your peace, and offer support that actually works.
You can love your person fiercely without drowning in their battle. I’m here to help you reclaim your life, your home, and your breath.
Thank you for trusting me to walk alongside you on this journey. Let’s start healing together.
