Regina Newby is a novelist and award-winning hairstylist out of Richmond, Virginia. Born in Goochland,Virginia she graduated from Goochland High and attended Virginia School of Cosmetology immediately after.
Regina has worked for over 27 years in the beauty industry, involving herself in Black-led cosmetology enterprises such as Bronner Brothers Hair Shows and Kirk Pro Hair Products.
Outside of her hair career, Regina is a cancer and special needs advocate, as well as dedicated mother to sons Jonathan (Alex) and Braxton, and lifelong follower of Christ. She owns a beauty product line, Nine7, dedicated to her soulmate and late husband Jonathan (J.O.) who passed away from a long battle with Large B Cell Lymphoma. Nine7 is their wedding date, September 7th.
