Hey, I’m Jonathan — but in the music and design world, I go by Retromelon.

I’ve been making music for over 15 years, diving deep into everything from gritty underground beats to cinematic soundscapes. Based in Canada, my passion for sound goes beyond producing tracks — I live for synthesis, sound design, and the endless possibilities of audio creation.

I’m also a trained sound engineer, music producer, and graphic designer, which means I approach every project with both technical precision and artistic vision. Over the years, I’ve developed a love for building tools that other creatives can use — from custom sample packs to fully designed VSTs and VSTis.

That’s why I launched Retromelon’s TOYZ — a space to share the sounds, plugins, and instruments I wish I had when I was starting out. All plugins and samples are Free, the reason behind it that : Everything is free, because creativity should never be limited by price — only by imagination. It’s a collection of my own creative tools that I wished that I had for free when I was starting out, built to inspire your inspiration.
