About Me

Robin Kite is a poet, artist, and photographer whose work explores the philosophy of living in accordance with nature, eliciting visions of remote places, forgotten people and special moments experienced in nature.

He is fascinated by the sporting greats of our age, and his work celebrates the pushing back of the boundaries of human potential and revels in the atmosphere of seminal sporting occasions.

His debut collection, The Unexpected View, is the culmination of a project that began during time at Stirling University, until a cohesive collection began to emerge.

His style is influenced by the minimalism of the poets of Tang Dynasty and honours the connection between Taoism and the concise nature of Chinese verse.

As well as exploring new places, Robin enjoys fell walking, gardening and is the creator of featheredtales.com, a blog about Britain’s birdlife.

He lives in the market town of Skipton, on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales.
