Youth crime statistics 2025 & How to do your part to stop it.

In Australia, youth crime statistics for 2025 show a mixed picture. While overall youth offender rates have decreased, some jurisdictions are seeing increases in specific crime types, particularly property offences. Overall, the trend is towards a decline in youth offending, with rates at their lowest in 15 years, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Overall Trends:

  • Declining Offender Rates:
  • The rate of youth offenders (aged 10-17) has decreased, with the most recent figures showing a drop from 1,847 to 1,764 offenders per 100,000 people in that age bracket.
  • Lowest in 15 Years:
  • Australia's rate of youth offenders is at its lowest point in 15 years, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation
  • Focus on Declining Trends:
  • Despite some areas seeing increases in certain offenses, criminologists highlight that the overall trend in youth crime is downwards, with a focus on declining overall offending rates.

Specific Offenses and Areas:

  • Property Crime:
  • There is an increase in property crime, especially theft, in some jurisdictions, which police attribute to cost-of-living pressures.
  • Victoria:
  • Victoria has seen a rise in overall crime, with a significant increase in offenses involving young offenders, particularly robberies.
  • Specific Offenses in Victoria:
  • Victoria has seen a rise in theft from motor vehicles, number plates, retail stores, and other theft, with petrol being a frequently stolen item.
  • Age and Gender:
  • Most youth offenders are male (69%), and the most common age is 16 years.
  • Geographic Variation:
  • Crime rates vary across states and territories, with some areas seeing increases in youth crime while others experience decreases.

Key Considerations:

  • Complexity of Data:
  • Measuring youth crime is complex, with different states and territories using different methodologies and thresholds for criminal offenses.
  • Underlying Causes:
  • Criminologists emphasize that addressing the underlying causes of youth crime, such as neurodevelopmental disabilities, poverty, and lack of education, is crucial.
  • Impact of Language:
  • There are concerns that the language used to discuss youth crime can be detrimental, potentially impacting young people's mental health and willingness to seek help.

In conclusion, while some areas are experiencing increases in certain youth crime types, the overall trend in Australia is towards a decrease in youth offending, with rates at their lowest in 15 years.

Queensland

4,235 arrests of youth offenders, resulting in 18,028 charges. The Queensland government's "Making Queensland Safer Bill" is being debated, with a focus on addressing youth crime and its impact on communities.

Victoria

17.9% rise in offences committed by children aged 10 to 17, according to the Crime Statistics Agency. This contributed to an overall surge in criminal offences across the state, with a total of 627,268 offences recorded.

NSW

32% increase in the number of young people in custody since December 2023. This increase is largely attributed to a rise in young people on remand, particularly for break and enter and assault offences. Additionally, there's been a notable increase in the number of

Helping Others

For years we have been helping others out, and after working in the telco businesses we have put together our own network just for the people. Owned by the people and not the rich.

Knowing how the system works why not save it for everyone where you can.

Even if you do

Talk to them. They have nothing other than what you give them, what you do.

Under Duress, they can't use anything you say. And we never understand anything they have to say, can't understand a word, not in writing.

Video to come of what happens if you do talk to them you end up with TiT's just shows you that they have no brain. Common Sense you can't be marked to pay for another's action? What law is that? if so why won't the police do their job can charge they REAL PERSON and not the PHOTO of the WHAT SIZE are they we really want to get a BRA for when we get them back.

Same Video will show you what they will do if you don't play their game
