About Rosalie

Rosalie Johnston writes supernatural thrillers and horror filled with creeping dread, impossible choices, and nightmares that linger long after the final page.

Drawing from a lifelong fascination with the darker corners of human experience, Rosalie’s stories explore the darkness hiding beneath familiar places and the secrets people try to bury.

Her writing examines fear, grief, guilt, survival, and the moments when the ordinary becomes something much more unsettling.

Through horror, Rosalie explores the things we often avoid looking at—the shadows within ourselves, the memories that refuse to disappear, and the truths waiting to be uncovered.

When she isn’t writing, Rosalie can usually be found building new worlds, collecting inspiration, and searching for the next story waiting in the dark.

Why I Write Horror

Horror has always been more than monsters or haunted places to me.

My stories explore the darkness hiding beneath ordinary life—the grief we carry, the guilt we bury, the memories that refuse to let go, and the impossible choices that shape who we become.

I write about familiar places because I believe they're often the most unsettling. The ordinary has a way of becoming extraordinary when viewed through fear, memory, or loss.

If my stories leave you questioning what hides just beyond the light, then I've done my job.
