Division Archive — Public Release Copy
Entry #: 47
Location: [REDACTED]
Status: Monitoring Only
The tower is not supposed to be operational.
Power to the site was cut twelve years ago after repeated safety violations, vandalism, and one incident the local authorities described as “mass panic caused by environmental factors.” The equipment inside the station was removed shortly after. The building has remained locked and unused ever since.
At 02:13 AM last Thursday, the tower began broadcasting again.
No power draw was detected from the grid.
No backup generator is present on site.
No maintenance crews have accessed the building.
Despite this, a signal appeared on an otherwise empty frequency and remained active for exactly four minutes.
The broadcast was first picked up by a truck driver traveling on Route [REDACTED], who reported “whispering through static.” Three additional independent reports were logged within the next two nights.
Division monitoring confirmed the signal on night three.
The broadcast window is consistent: 02:13–02:17 AM.
The signal begins as standard radio static. Approximately twenty seconds in, the static shifts in tone and cadence until it resembles overlapping human speech. Audio enhancement suggests dozens of voices layered together at extremely low volume.
The voices are whispering names.
Most names are indistinct.
Several are not.
Cross-reference has confirmed that at least seven of the names belong to currently living individuals within a fifty-mile radius of the tower. One name belongs to a Division employee. That employee has been placed on temporary leave and has not been informed of the reason.
At 02:16 AM, the voices stop.
A single voice speaks clearly for the remaining duration of the broadcast.
The voice has not yet been matched to any known individual. Age and gender are indeterminate. Tone is neutral. Delivery is calm.
Each night, the closing statement has been identical:
“Signal stable. Awaiting outcome.”
The final broadcast recorded last night included an additional phrase.
Audio transcript verified by three independent analysts:
“Final girl pending.”
The Division has issued a non-intervention directive regarding the tower until further notice.
Personnel are instructed not to approach the site, attempt signal disruption, or respond to the broadcast in any capacity.
Monitoring will continue.
We are told this is precautionary.
We are told this is temporary.
We are told to stay uninvolved.
