About Me
Godson Sedem Tsimese, known in the music world as KingSed, is a music producer, sound engineer, and independent artist dedicated to helping musicians take control of their sound. With years of experience in music production, mixing, and mastering, he understands the struggles independent artists face when it comes to recording high-quality vocals without access to expensive studios. His goal is to break down these barriers and empower artists to create professional music from anywhere.
KingSed’s journey in music began with a deep passion for sound and creativity. Over the years, he honed his skills in recording, production, and mixing, working with artists across different genres. His producer tag, “KingSed is a genius, merhn”, has become a signature stamp on his beats, reflecting his expertise in crafting industry-level sound.
His love for music production started in 2008, when he was introduced to free software websites and stumbled upon Beatcraft, a now-discontinued beat-making platform. As someone in awe of computers, he was fascinated by how software could be used to create music. He spent hours experimenting, trying out different sounds, and figuring out how beats were made. Though he eventually stopped producing after dabbling for a while, the spark never faded.
In 2016, he got his hands on a trial version of FL Studio, and that changed everything. This time, he never stopped. He became fully immersed in the world of music production, spending countless hours learning the craft, refining his skills, and developing his unique sound. What started as curiosity turned into an unstoppable passion, leading him to work with various artists and eventually establish himself as a producer and sound engineer.
Beyond production, KingSed is also the founder of Sonawav Studio, a music recording and production space where he collaborates with artists to bring their musical visions to life. Through Sonawav, he provides custom beats, vocal mixing, and mastering services, ensuring artists get polished, high-quality songs that stand out. His work is driven by a commitment to excellence and a passion for helping others succeed in the competitive music industry.
As an educator, KingSed enjoys sharing his knowledge with upcoming musicians and producers. He understands that many artists struggle with technical aspects of recording, often sending poorly recorded vocals for mixing. This frustration led him to write DIY: Record Yourself, a practical guide designed to help musicians record high-quality vocals at home with minimal equipment. His approach is simple, direct, and effective—giving artists the tools they need to take control of their own music.
When he’s not in the studio, KingSed is deeply involved in music mentorship, offering guidance on production, branding, and music business strategies. He believes that knowledge should be accessible to all artists, regardless of their budget or background. His mission is to help independent musicians sound professional, compete with industry standards, and build sustainable careers in music.
In addition to music, KingSed has a background in biomedical sciences and clinical embryology, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to mastering different fields. Despite his scientific expertise, music remains his true calling, and he has successfully merged technical precision with creative artistry to produce high-quality sound.
KingSed’s influence extends beyond the studio. Through social media (@realkingsed) and Sonawav.com, he shares insights, production tips, and exclusive content to help artists refine their skills. He is constantly looking for new ways to support musicians—whether through online resources, one-on-one consultations, or collaborative projects.
At the core of everything he does, KingSed considers himself a disciple of depth—a person who commits fully to his craft with pure focus. After completing each task, he always asks himself, "Is it good?" If the answer is no, then he goes back to work. He may not call himself a perfectionist, but he is dedicated to delivering quality, pushing boundaries, and creating music with purpose.
With DIY: Record Yourself, KingSed hopes to inspire, educate, and empower artists to take charge of their music. He believes that access to a studio should never be a hurdle, and that every musician deserves the opportunity to sound their best. This book is just the beginning—KingSed is on a mission to revolutionize independent music, one artist at a time.
