What is Regulation??

» Self-Regulation

Managing yourself means to:

  • Calm yourself down when upset
  • Choose what's best for you long-term over temporary happiness
  • Feeling something, without immediately reacting


It can simply be put as the space between urge and action.



» Co-Regulation

  • Co-Regulation is a process that supports emotional development. In order to practice co-regulation, you must understand your own emotions in order to help others with theirs.
