Early in my career as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, I quickly noticed the difference in how my male and female clients approached health recommendations.

The men would make time to work out and often delegated healthy meal preparation to their girlfriends or wives, But my female clients, especially those with children, would tell me, 'I don't have time.'

These remarkable women juggled careers, managed households, and supported their families and friends. They made time for everyone except themselves, and it seemed so unfair.

While I was sure that could never be me, when I had my first child, unfortunately, I found myself in the exact same situation.

For the first time, I couldn't do what I had been advising others to do. I was exhausted, demoralized, and felt like a hypocrite- it was a low point for me.

I realized things had to change. I didn't want this to be my experience of motherhood, and I didn't want my son to grow up with unrealistic and unhealthy expectations of women.

By making small, gradual changes and turning them into practices and eventually into habits, I gained more energy and confidence and lost my postpartum weight (which was far from my main focus at the time). Ultimately, I was showing up better than before.

This experience birthed 'Bloom into Health' a 12-week health & wellness program for moms by a mom so that you too can reclaim your wellness and thrive in motherhood. 🌸
