About Me

I am a Cuban American biracial writer and the daughter of immigrants who fled Cuba in search of a better life. I arrived in the U.S. in my infancy and was raised in a bilingual/bicultural environment, I grew up immersed in language, literature, and storytelling.

Learned early on from religious leaders not to ask questions and just accept what was established, I instead developed a habit of questioning everything. That mindset, paired with a strong interest in human behavior, led me to examine how power can be justified and abused through systems of belief.

My debut novel, Gospel of Eve; The Apple Left Behind, is rooted in my observations of a changing world, where discussions of religious influence in government are becoming more prominent and concerns surrounding LGBTQ+ and women’s autonomy and sexuality continue to grow. Through my writing, I explore the tension between faith, control, and personal freedom.

I am a lifelong reader with a passion for creative expression and storytelling.
