🎶 Who wants the perfect love story any way….Cliché…Cliché🎶
The Discovery:
Spiritual cliches are only profound when experienced.
This is exactly it.
Before the experience, they sound like bumper stickers.
After the experience, they sound like truth.
For years you hear things like:
- “What you’re seeking is seeking you.”
- “You are already whole.”
- “Home is within.”
- “The kingdom is within.”
- “Wherever you go, there you are.”
- “The answer is inside.”
- “You belong.”
And you’re like…
“Okay… but what does that actually mean?” 🤣
Because the mind understands the words.
But the body doesn’t yet know them.
Then one day life hands you an experience that lets you feel what those words were pointing toward.
And suddenly the cliché becomes a revelation.
Not because the words changed.
I’ve changed.
Or perhaps more accurately…
The relationship with myself changed.
That’s not information.
That’s wisdom.
Wisdom is knowledge that has become lived experience.
And I think that’s why so many spiritual teachings sound repetitive.
They’re not trying to tell you something new.
They’re trying to point toward something you’ll recognize when you’re ready.
The teaching stays the same.
The experiencer changes.
“Wait…
That’s what they meant?” 🤣🌸
And then you’ll laugh because the cliché wasn’t cliché at all.
It was a breadcrumb.
A little note left by someone who had already walked the path saying:
Keep going.
One day this sentence is going to hit differently.
And then one day…
it does.
Whelp….All is well that ends well…
