Life thru Journals

A place to witness yourself.

Welcome Home

If you’ve found your way here, perhaps you’re searching for something.

Not because you’re broken.

Not because you’re behind.

Not because you need fixing.

But because there is a part of you that longs to be seen, heard, and remembered.

I created these journals from seasons of deep questioning, heartbreak, healing, and becoming. Like many people, I spent years searching for peace, clarity, purpose, and connection. What I discovered along the way was simple:

The moments that changed me most were not the moments I found new answers.

They were the moments I finally slowed down enough to notice myself.

To notice my thoughts.

To notice my feelings.

To notice my patterns.

To notice my life.

And in that noticing, something beautiful happened.

I began to remember who I was beneath the noise.

That is the spirit behind every journal, devotional, and companion within the Life thru Journals collection.

These pages are not here to tell you who to become.

They are here to offer a space to reflect, explore, question, express, and witness yourself with honesty and compassion.

A place to celebrate your growth.

A place to hold your grief.

A place to record your insights.

A place to honor your journey.

Because witnessing yourself is one of the most compassionate acts of self-love.

Whether you arrive here during a season of healing, transition, joy, uncertainty, or renewal, my hope is that these journals become trusted companions and quiet spaces where your truth can meet the page.

Not as a performance.

Not as perfection.

Simply as you.

Welcome Home.

The Excavation
For most of my life, I thought growth was about acquiring… knowledge, healing, confidence, success, spirituality, and the next version of myself. I was always reaching for the next insight, the next practice, the next horizon, believing that growth ...

Spells: The Language Shaping Perception
🎶 I put a spell on you… 🎶 Not in a witchcraft and cauldron kind of way. Although, if we’re being honest, that’s probably where most of our minds go when we hear the word spell. But lately, I’ve been wondering if spells are much simpler than that… Wh...

Returning to Self-Closeness
Hey yo, you. (Not the version of you that’s trying to improve. Not the version that’s trying to heal. Not the version that’s trying to become.) You. The one who is here right now. For a long time, I thought I was on a journey to find myself. I searc...

A Note from Yafa 🖤

Welcome. Pull up a chair.

For years, I thought I was searching for answers.

I searched through books, conversations, spiritual practices, relationships, achievements, and endless attempts to figure life out.

What I didn’t realize was that I wasn’t searching for answers.

I was searching for a deeper relationship with myself.

Along the way, writing became one of my greatest companions.

Not because it solved my problems.

But because it helped me notice.

It helped me notice what I was feeling.

What I was avoiding.

What I was learning.

What I loved.

What I grieved.

Who I was becoming.

And sometimes those realizations arrived through music.

A lyric that lingered.

A melody that unlocked tears.

A song that seemed to understand me before I understood myself.

I’ve learned that wisdom rarely arrives the way we expect it to.

Sometimes it appears in a journal entry.

Sometimes in a conversation.

Sometimes in the quiet beauty of an ordinary Tuesday.

And sometimes in a deeper truth hiding inside a song.

One morning, while looking at a simple moment in my life that I wanted to remember, something clicked:

That’s what journals are for.

Not productivity.

Not perfection.

Not self-improvement.

Witnessing.

A journal is a witness to a life being lived.

A place where self can converse with self.

A place where moments can be held instead of rushed past.

A place where we can tell the truth and learn to listen.

That realization became Scripted by Soul.

Today, I create journals, devotionals, and reflections inspired by the lessons, questions, songs, and moments that have shaped my own journey back to myself.

Through my blog, I share the insights I’ve gathered along the way…. thoughts on spirituality, healing, intentional living, self-discovery, and the sacredness hidden within everyday life.

Because I believe noticing is one of the purest forms of love.

Sometimes the most compassionate thing we can do is witness our own lives with honesty, curiosity, and care.

✨ Welcome to Scripted by Soul… a place to witness yourself.
