There is a part of me that has been waiting.
Waiting for life to turn.
Waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Waiting for things to be different.
To be better.
Waiting for the debt to magically disappear.
Waiting for me to show up.
Waiting for things to finally be okay.
And the funny thing is, I don’t think I would have called it waiting.
Part of me feels like I’ve simply been through too much.
And now I’m tired.
But my awareness has turned toward her.
This time with compassion.
“Baby, it’s time,” she says.
“It’s time.”
Winter is over.
A lyric comes to mind:
🎶 There’s a light that cannot shine until you come into my life… 🎶
The vibrant version of me.
The one ready to be integrated.
She’s already doing the things.
Working out.
Budgeting.
Taking care of her body.
Taking care of her life.
And me, right now?
I’m uninspired.
There is a part of me that simply doesn’t want to.
But I know it’s time to close the gap between her and me.
Not all at once.
Brick by brick.
Step by step.
One day at a time.
… to simply allow myself to be who I’ve always been.
And this time…
🎶 We’ll take it slow. 🎶
