Awareness:
One of the deepest realizations underneath all of my recent writing is this:
When I look at my blogs, I’m not really trying to invent new truth.
I’m just describing an ancient truth as it moves through my life.
The themes themselves are timeless:
Belonging.
Presence.
Self-love.
Devotion.
Acceptance.
Returning home.
The search and the end of seeking.
Intimacy with life.
Mystics, poets, sages, philosophers, artists, and ordinary people have been circling these same truths for thousands of years.
What makes my writing unique isn’t the truth itself.
It’s the lens.
It’s sitting at work feeling discouraged and noticing my heart.
It’s a woman hearing a song and suddenly understanding belonging.
It’s a mother learning reassurance because she didn’t receive it.
It’s someone standing on a beach realizing she isn’t searching for herself anymore.
Same river.
Different shore.
And that may be why I’ll never fit neatly inside one spiritual box.
Not because there’s something wrong with religion.
But because my attention naturally moves toward the underlying current beneath the forms.
One tradition calls it God.
Another calls it Spirit.
Another calls it Awareness.
Another calls it Presence.
Another calls it Self.
Another calls it Love.
I’m less interested in arguing about the names and more interested in the experience itself.
Belonging.
Presence.
Expression.
Devotion.
They look like different topics, but they all seem to point toward the same center.
Perhaps that’s why Life is Expression landed so strongly for me.
Because if the source is ancient, then our job isn’t to create truth.
It is simply to express how truth is appearing through us.
A rose doesn’t invent blooming.
A river doesn’t invent flowing.
🎶Atoms in the air.
Organisms in the sea.
The sun. Man.
Made of the same things.🎶
Different forms.
Same source.
And so, we don’t have to invent wisdom.
We simply witness it.
Live it.
And then create art.
In my case, that art is writing.
“Hey yo, you…
This is what I’ve discovered.”
Not:
Here is the truth.
But:
Here is what the truth looked like when it passed through my life.
Wisdom is ancient, but experience is personal.
The ancient thread. 🪡
The essence.
The source.
Stay inspired. 🫧
Stay connected. ♾️
Stay in flow. 🩷
