A survivor of various kinds of adversities throughout her early childhood up until late adolescence, River Tapia found herself as a young adult feeling like a lost and broken soul. No sense of direction, no hope, no will to live. It would be from struggling in this dark place however that River would recognize that the only place to go from rock bottom was up. Thus began an adventurous self-healing journey that she would eventually make her way out of with an ambition, purpose and selflessness that would go on to change her life as well as the lives of others.

From this life-changing experience, River was able to learn about not only herself, but about humankind, from the way it works against itself to what it needs to see change and to prosper. With a fierce determination, shameless ambition, and the life experience to back it all up, River felt a calling to create an online platform that would serve as a sanctuary and fountain of rejuvenation for any soul that was hurt, lost, or in need of a fresh perspective on life. And it would be through this calling and determination to see change that River would go on to create Self-Wealth.
