About Me
Katie’s love of sewing,arts and crafts started when she was 14 years old and her mom teaching her plastic canvas. It wasn’t until a year later that she began her journey into quilting when her mom helped her to make her fist quilt from the small wreath pattern out of the book ” Quick Watercolor Quilts” by Dina Pappas.
Over the years her quilting evolved to include both hand and machine applique, crazy quilting and traditional patchwork from various quilting patterns, books, online classes, and even her own designs.
Back in 2016, along with her mom, she started their own online quilting magazine called ” Our Quilting Journey” which celebrates all types of quilting. The magazine which is published on Magcloud previously twice a year and starting in 2019 where it will come out quarterly includes mostly quilting content along with some very wonderful and talented quilters from all over the world who have come on board since their very first issue.
