About the Author
Shawnquita Brogdon is a motivational speaker, author, mother, and Founder and Chief Idea Architect who is passionate about helping others recognize the strength, purpose, and possibilities within their own stories.
As a mother of four and an oldest daughter herself, Shawnquita understands what it means to carry responsibilities, navigate difficult seasons, and grow through experiences that could have easily defined her. Her journey has been filled with challenges, unexpected turns, healing, and moments that required her to find strength she did not always know she possessed.
Through her life and her faith in God, Shawnquita has learned that where you come from does not have to determine where you are going. Her story is a testimony of transformation, breaking cycles, healing from the past, and becoming the woman she was created to be.
In REWRITTEN: Grace for the Oldest Daughter, Shawnquita shares her story honestly and vulnerably—not to glorify the past, but to show that a painful beginning can still lead to a purposeful future.
Her hope is that every reader who has ever felt overlooked, burdened, broken, or defined by their past will be reminded that their story is not over.
You may have a history—but God can still give you a rewritten story.
