Hi, I'm Harvey. I teach in a primary school in the UK, and I'm a 3rd dan black belt in Shotokan karate. That's where Sensei comes from. Karate taught me that calm and focus are skills you can practise, and that's the idea behind everything I make: classroom kits that look calm, go up quickly and help children settle. Shinku (真空) is Japanese for empty space, that clean wall at the start of term waiting to become somewhere children want to be.
