Hi there! I'm Sara, the creator behind the popular cooking blog, Simmering Starfruit. While cooking has been my biggest adventure for several years now, my background is in film making, music composition, creative writing, and teaching.

Through my cooking adventures as Simmering Starfruit, I share family recipes, seasonal dishes, and explores food inspired by popular media - Star Trek, Legend of Zelda, Stardew Valley, and Sailor Moon, just to name a few! 

Growing up, I was always preparing food. I have fond memories baking with my grandmas, learning how to make pancakes with mum, and helping to decorate many birthday cakes for friends and family. I'm always the happiest when I can cook for the people around me, sharing my love through food.
