Videos and photos are normally downloadable for everyone, unless agreed in advance in which case you have received a personal code. If you are not compliant with your footage being publicly accessible, please contact SIM immediately so action can be taken. However, why would anyone pay for a video that is not theirs?

Footage quality

The quality of the downloadable videos is normally 1920x1080 pixels at 25fps. This is standard HD quality.

The preview has a watermark and is in VGA quality and can be watched by anyone, without paying.

A higher quality version might exist. Please contact SIM for more information.

The quality of the photos vary. It will be stated in the description.

Copyright / Ownership

Keep in mind that the copyright of all footage remains with SIM. It is not allowed to redistribute or sell the footage without written approval from SIM.

However, when the footage contains your own image, your own boat, your own action, you are considered to be the owner of the footage. The owner is allowed to share the footage on his/her website or share on social media. BUT, when you are NOT the owner of the footage, keep in mind you will need approval from the owner before sharing or uploading to the internet.

Download by mistake

In theory it is possible you have accidentally paid for and downloaded the wrong footage. Though the preview and timestamp should tell you which is the correct footage, it can happen in which case you should contact SIM and we'll work out a solution.
