About me
My passion for embracing entrepreneurship, innovation, and intervention is central to my drive to prevent organisational disruption and increase quality healthcare delivery to patients.
With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, the majority in senior or executive roles, I have worked in various specialist areas, including operating theatres, day hospitals and intensive care, supported by the completion of GDipNurseSc(InvCare) and more recently, MBA (Health Mgt). My initial entrepreneurial leap of faith in 1995 saw me diversify and grow a successful mobile surgical unit business from a startup, with the company value 'to make a difference'.
In my current position as the Director of Clinical Services at a day hospital in Adelaide, innovation and intervention continue. In 2022, I had the honour of being appointed the SA/NT Chapter Chair for Day Hospital Australia.
Being passionate about engaging all aspects of the organisation, its people and external stakeholders to drive change, I believe that the ‘hands-on’ approach underpins the ability to understand what energies are the driving factors behind successful outcomes.
I am happily married with three children and a grandchild. I enjoy spending time with family and camping as a perfect way to relax and recharge outside work.
