About Me

Hi, I’m Carmen Broesder — a disabled activist, single mom, and founder of Unity Harbour and co-owner of SkyStone Vale. I write for the ones who’ve been burned out by the system but still believe a better world is possible.

My work blends survival strategy with radical hope — from zoning laws and intentional communities to trauma-informed tools, legal rights, and DIY mutual aid. I’ve lived what I teach: building off-grid, navigating poverty and policy, creating housing for others while struggling to stay housed myself.

Everything here is made for people like you: the builders, the dreamers, the survivors. Whether you’re escaping burnout, starting over, or fighting back — you’re not alone.

This storefront exists to fund real-world projects like Freedom Village, a cooperative tiny home and RV community for marginalized people facing housing injustice. Every purchase supports that work.

Let’s build something brave together.
