Sonny Walebowa

A devoted husband and father, Sonny Walebowa is a native of Botswana. There, Sonny began writing stories and poetry in both English and his native language, Setswana. He moved to the United States in 1997 on a scholarship, earning a BFA in Film and Television Production and later obtaining MA in Human Services and Executive Leadership. After writing, directing, and producing shorts, commercials, music videos, and documentaries in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sonny moved to Los Angeles, where he worked at Arista Records in music marketing, sales, and A&R. He also worked in production, and film-distribution. He later returned to Northern California working as a web and TV broadcast editor and multimedia producer. While authoring juvenile fiction and screenplays, Sonny previously self-published a biography on Nelson Mandela for the juvenile market, which includes a narrated CD. He also penned two books of poetry. Sonny loves travel and adventure.
