About Me
I'm Sonya Malone -playwright, author, and storyteller with a heart for healing. I create stories that confront what many families silently carry : generational trauma, unspoken pain and the complicated yet sacred bond between mothers and daughters. My work exists to open conversations that many are afraid to have -and to create space for restoration. My debut stage production, The Chronicle of a Mother, was born from a deep desire to break cycles that have lingered for generations. This play explores the emotional inheritance passed between women, the wounds we don't always see, and the courage it takes to choose healing over hurt. I believe theatre is more than entertainment -- it is ministry, movement, and mirror. Through storytelling, I aim to challenge, comfort, and ultimately transform hearts.
