Most mornings start with a scroll through the bookish community to soak up inspiration. It’s amazing how a single trope, post, or spicy excerpt can spark a whole new idea for me!

What I’m Reading (and recommending)
I just devoured Unbound by Penelope Bloom ... and I mean devoured. I stayed up until 3 a.m. reading the first night. It’s on KU, and yes, it absolutely lives up to the hype, but I will get more into it later.
After the wonderful fantasy world of Unbound, I’ve been craving a change of pace, so I’ve been dipping into alien romances (because why not?). I finished Craving His Venom by Celeste King, which gave me some strong emotional depth—even if a bit predictable—and I’d recommend it for fans of forbidden love and alien warlords. Demon Daddy’s Little Girl (also by King) was a five-star read for me—protective guard, hidden child, emotional twists…all the vibes.
I’m now starting Alien Zoo by Deiri Di before moving on to Alien Song (the author recommends this order). I’ll keep you posted
Surprise Book Obsession
Seriously, Unbound blew me away. Unbound is a steamy fantasy romance that follows a fierce, determined heroine who finds herself entangled with a powerful and dangerously seductive immortal. Set in a dark, magical world where secrets, curses, and forbidden desires collide, the story is filled with sharp banter, tension-filled chemistry, and unexpected twists. As the heroine navigates her destiny, she must decide whether to trust the one man who could save—or destroy—her. Oh, and did I mention ... She didn't just awaken an ancient elemental spirit, she ignited a bond that could burn the world down.
It was so good, I bought the digital version, preordered the sequel coming May 2026, and I’ll be getting the audiobook too. This one’s going into my re-read forever pile.
Why I Keep Creating
Sales have been a bit slow this month (a common summer slump, I’ve heard), but I keep going because I love this. Designing, creating, dreaming up new products ... it helps me focus and find joy, especially during tough moments.
Small Business Shout Out
HiFaeJenn & TheBookCourt on TikTok, her handle is @hifaejen and she does Blind Date with A Book. She and Alianna are diehard Swifties, they're always upbeat and positive, and they have a lot of interaction with their customers/followers. They play a lot of fun games and have giveaways on the regular. I would highly suggest you check them out, its always fun over there.
