Karla Ingleton Darocas B.A. (Hons) is a Canadian-born author, educator, and Spanish Fine Arts historian based in Benitachell, Spain. Armed with an Honours degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo, she has spent over 35 years blending her background in journalism, photography, and art history to research and celebrate Spanish heritage.
As a prolific author, she has written multiple cultural guidebooks and biographies, which deep dive into the history, legends, and landmarks of her adopted homeland.
As an engaging educator, Darocas teaches from her personal studio on the Costa Blanca and hosts interactive online learning events. She has built an extensive catalogue of over 60 specialized lectures dedicating her career to awakening a deeper public appreciation for Spain's rich artistic legacy.
