I'm Yemi. I'm a data analyst by trade. I'm also a non-native English speaker who has spent years in UK workplaces — meetings, presentations, interviews, the small everyday moments where what I said landed less clearly than what I meant.

I built this course because the existing options either insulted me ("lose your accent!") or didn't get me ("here's a phonetics textbook from 1978"). I wanted something practical, modern, and respectful of the fact that non-native speakers aren't broken speakers — we're speakers in environments designed for someone else.

I designed it to be the course I wish I had ten years ago.
