Here is a little information about who we are and what we do...

Our story is long but i'll try to keep it brief, 4 years ago myself and my cousin josh joined the popular app called tiktok, Josh who has down syndrome absolutely loved the dances and songs, but unfortunately what should have been a fun experience was turned upside down after we received relentless horrific trolling for Our disabilities, Josh for Down syndrome and myself for having Alopecia and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. We persevered and built a little community and our platform grew, So we made a choice we would use our platform for good, we began raising awareness and we launched our first ever gift a gift appeal in 2020 were people could donate gifts which we collected and then distributed to 5 local charities, and that is where spreading smiles appeal was born, we realised we could make a difference to those in need and 4 years later we are still here and growing bigger every year. Here at spreading smiles appeal we fundraise all year round to provide support for 2 organisations which are very close to our hearts PDAP women's refuge and Forget me not children's hospice. We donate easter eggs and toys and toiletries at easter, then at christmas we donate lots of new toy's, chocolates, games, toiletries and more to Forget me not and PDAP and we also provide a Christmas eve box for every child in the care of PDAP and a ladies gift bag and care package for every women in their residential care. We also donate to other causes during the year which are close to our hearts We do raffles, Fundraising events and sell merchandise and personalised gifts with all profits going to the appeal and we have raised over £12,000 in the last 4 years.

We have also been incredibly lucky to work with Nick and his team of teddy surgeons at 3D toy shop teddy hospital on projects and events, we've hosted together at forget me not, We even featured in lewis capaldi's music video 'haven't you ever been in love before'. We have worked with nick to create an exclusive range of 3D toy shop teddy hospital merchandise with profits being split 50/50 between our appeal and also nicks mission to make sure every little hero has a friend just like them!
