TAXES & TRANSPARENCY – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Here at Squeakie Shops, we believe in tropical clarity and global compliance. Whether you are downloading a planner or ordering a gadget, here is how taxes work at checkout.

Why do taxes show up at checkout?

Taxes are mandated by local laws. For digital products your billing address determines if sales tax, VAT or GST applies. For physical products your shipping address determines if state sales tax applies, including tax on shipping where required.

Where taxes apply

Digital products

We collect taxes on digital goods for locations with digital-goods tax laws. Please refer to the “Taxable Countries & Rates” infographic for rates by country.

Physical products (U.S. only)

All physical items ship domestically from our US suppliers. We collect sales tax where your shipping address is in a state that imposes sales tax on goods and, if required, on shipping. Rates vary by state.

International Customers: Please note that we currently ship only within the USA. If you're outside the United States and would like to purchase a physical product, kindly arrange shipping through a third-party freight or forwarding service with a U.S.-based address that can deliver to your country.

How is tax calculated?

We use automated tax tools powered by Payhip to apply the correct rate. For digital items tax is based on your billing address at checkout. For physical items tax is based on your shipping address and includes product and shipping fees. Your final invoice clearly breaks out product cost, shipping and tax so there are no surprises.

Customs & duties

All physical orders are shipped within the U S so there are no customs or import duties for customers. You pay only the domestic sales tax where applicable.

U S tax-exempt customers

If you have a valid U S sales tax exemption certificate email us before checkout at squeakieshops@outlook.com and we will apply your exemption to qualifying digital and physical purchases.
