About Me

Hi, I’m Jeroo Doodhmal. I’m a founder, children's author, and parent with a lifelong love of building things.

I started my first business at 17, selling handmade candles to Hallmark back in the 90s, long before entrepreneurship was a buzzword. Since then, through university and corporate life, I’ve gone on to test and build several businesses - including interview transcriptions, supper clubs, building a women’s safety device, and launching a sustainable household products brand on Amazon US.

At 37, I left corporate life to launch Pip and Henry, a UK based DTC and R&D company where I invented an expandable sneaker for kids after spotting a simple problem: children outgrow shoes too quickly. We have since raised half a million pounds in grants and equity funding, worked with incubators and accelerators and won prominent awards and press accolades for our product.

More recently, I’ve loved watching the entrepreneurial spark show up at home too. When my daughter was 8, I supported her in launching her own small business selling handmade soaps, learning first-hand about pricing, customers, and the pride that comes from creating something yourself and earning some serious pocket money!

What’s stayed with me most is how early exposure can shape confidence and curiosity. When children are given the chance to explore ideas, solve problems, and try things for themselves, they begin to trust their own abilities. I believe that introducing these experiences early helps them grow into more confident, curious, and resilient thinkers, whatever path they choose later on.

My mission here is to introduce children to entrepreneurship early, in a way that feels creative, practical, and empowering. The thread through all of it is simple: start small, say yes, learn fast, expand bravely.

I look forward to seeing what they create, question, and fearlessly attempt!
