About Me
Jody Eddy is a James Beard Award-nominated author of nine cookbooks, including Elysian Kitchens: Recipes Inspired by the Traditions and Tastes of the World’s Sacred Spaces and Eat Like A Monk: A Plant-Based Guide to Conscious Cooking Conscious Cooking and Mindful Eating. A professionally trained chef, she has cooked at some of the world’s most acclaimed restaurants, including the three-Michelin-starred The Fat Duck in England and Jean Georges in New York City, and Tabla in New York City.
Jody served as Executive Editor of Art Culinaire and her writing has appeared in numerous publications exploring the intersection of food, culture, and travel. She holds degrees from the University of Minnesota and the Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan. Her work has appeared in Food & Wine, The Wall Street Journal, Conde Nast Traveller, Saveur, and other publications.
She leads cooking classes and workshops on monastic wisdom, the Danish concept of hygge, and mindful living for Fortune 500 companies, libraries, community organizations, and every kind of group in between.
