About Me

Hello! I'm Swathi Kantharaja, Founder of Structured Way. I hope you enjoy reading and applying the frameworks from Program Sprint.

As a kid, I had the habit of writing notes down.

That habit carried into work. In fast-paced environments, I noticed no one was actually spending time documenting their thoughts. Time constraints, mostly.

But I had to. The way my brain worked, I needed to organise information in a certain way. I'd usually end up doing it on Confluence, which is collaborative by default. Anyone could view it.

Over time, people started benefiting from my notes. That's what led me from software engineer to product manager to program manager. Bringing structure to complexity, working across companies such as BBC, Maersk, Expedia, HomeServe and so on.

Writing it down brought clarity. But it had three other advantages:

  1. It was visible to everyone. Whether people agreed or not, we were looking at the same thing. Alignment.
  2. People could add their own versions.
  3. It became transparent. No explaining in multiple forums why something changed.

I've combined all of that experience into a minimalist methodology. I'm calling it Program Sprint.

Inspired by the Design Sprint concept, but totally different. It brings modern minimalist thinking into traditional program management.

Three simple principles. Ten pillars. Applied well, they help large, complex programs run without wasting time and money on the usual program management failures.
